Despite having a strong AI foundation, the founders lacked clarity on who their most profitable customer was — enterprise product teams, consultants, or agencies — and needed to validate demand before committing to full-scale development.

PROBLEM

Most fashion startups invest in inventory before knowing what customers will buy. Assemble needed a low-risk way to validate demand before committing to production. 

WHAT WE DID

Built a zero-inventory storefront to test consumer interest. Ran paid ad campaigns to split-test messaging, pricing, and positioning. Collected pre-sale and engagement data to determine product-market fit. 

THE OUTCOME

Averted raising unnecessary round of Seed funding of $220K and de-risked over $50K+ of upfront inventory risk by pivoting to a leaner fulfillment model. Identified the highest-converting product categories before launch. Validated early traction, and we split tested against conventional customer experiences, resulted in a pivoting completely into a new business model and offering.
